This fast-paced game packs a world of colorful, word-powered fun inside its compact tin case. With a timer, special die, and 30 tricolor tiles, it's got everything you need for word building fun. And it's easy to play. Each player draws 5 to 8 Tri-Tiles from the pile. Throw the Tri-Die to determine how many words to make from your tiles and the color that will give you the most points. Customer Reviews
small package- huge fun! This came quickly and was better than advertised. I ordered this for my class of first graders. It is perfect for them during the beginning of the first semester. With adjustments, they can still use it and learn after they are reading independently. I like that children can play with tri words alone and in a small group. I would recommend it for any 4-8 year old, or anyone who is struggling with beginning reading skills.
Fun for kids that know their words, not good for learning words I bought this to help my nephew with his spelling. He loves board games and I thought this would be a nice way to integrate some learning into our game play. The first time we played it, he enjoyed the hourglass timer and playing with triangles that fit together so well in the box. However, as we played he just wanted to spell the word No continuously because he didn't know many words at that time. As he got a little older and learned more words, we have a little more fun playing this game. But he was not receptive to learning the words as we played. He has learning disabilities and wasn't learning his words really well until 1st grade (after repeating Kindergarten) He does like the time limit aspect and that you have to race against the clock but otherwise this is not really one of his favorite games.
