Not as well-known, but maybe the most useful CyberTool
Victorinox currently makes the CyberTool 29, CyberTool 34, CyberTool 41, and CyberTool Lite. The SwissChamp XLT and XAVT are also officially part of the "CyberTool" line from Victorinox.
One of the least mentioned and discussed CyberTools is the "Lite" version which has a magnifying glass and small flashlight. Although not as popular in sales, this is a terrific version which allows you to use the flashlight while working inside a computer case and the magnifying glass could be useful for inspecting bent pins. It's a bit heavy for pocket carry, but it can be done.
The CyberTool 29 is by far the thinnest and lightest of the group, which makes it actually possible to pocket carry this tool. The four double-sided bits is what distinguishes the CyberTool models from the regular Victorinox Swiss Army Knives. (Note that the SwissChamp XAVT actually contains eight double-sided bits.) There are also additional bits which can be purchased from third party sources, such as SwissBianco.
If you need the scissors and pliers, which is quite possible when working with computers, then the CyberTool 34 will be the thinnest model to have those tools with the bits and driver. I found the CyberTool 34 still too heavy for pocket carry.
The CyberTool 41 is the same as the CyberTool 34 with the addition of a woodsaw and metal file. This tool is for most people too heavy for pocket carry, and usually carried in a belt pouch or bag.
Whichever CyberTool you choose, you will want to be careful in not losing the bits, as the replacements for those are actually fairly expensive.
Cyber lites the way!
The cyber lite Swiss army knife was in my christmas stocking by request. I am thrilled with it. Ever had to do some screwing in the dark? Well the cyber lite puts an end to that. It is powered by 2 watch type batteries. The Lite is powerful and focused right at the end of the screw driving tool. This knife has 4 double tiped tools, thorx, slot, allen and phillips. 3 tips are stored in the fold-out tool rack and the last one in the screw driving tool, which can also be operated at a 90 degree angle for extra torque. The pliars are pretty strong for a knife and up to some work. The magnifying glass is amazingly powerful and clear. splinters become veritable logs. I'm a plumber and find the corkscrew just the tool for disassembling o-rings and small "embedded" parts in faucets. This is not the first corkscrew to have a tiny slothead screw driver for eyeglass repair cleverly wound into its spirals for storage. Two razor sharp blades, good scissors, awl, and toothpick, tweezers and ball point pen complete the package. It's a little heavy for a pocket knife and you may want to consider a holster, because its going to wear your pocket out eventually! Be careful about inadvertently turniing the lite on when pushing the knife into your holster or pocket!
If you like the 53969 model, buy it with confidence, it won't let you down! Looks great and works better!
I ordered from AMAZON.COM on Monday morning and received on Thursday evening with free shipping,it was a pretty smooth transaction.
Awesome multi-tool by Victorinox,it comes equipped with everything you may want for use at home, office or while on the go.I'm not a TECH guy but find it very useful for any day to day activity outside the computer stuff
Very well constructed, sturdy but not heavy or bulky, I actually find it very easy to carry in my jeans or trousers' pockets. In the beginning I was a bit reluctant to the "Translucent Ruby" but now that I have it,I definitely can tell this is a lot nicer than the solid red.
