Great Idea, Glad They Made This But Has a Few Faults Which Could Have Been Improved On!4
There were five vehicles initially released from the four Indiana Jones movies. Since Crystal Skull was the latest obviously they have two from there jungle cutter and Hangar 51 Rocket Sled. There was also the blimp escape biplane from The Last Crusade, as well as the Persian Tank which went over the cliff from the same movie. If you're interested I also bought the plane and tank and have written reviews on those as well so check them out if interested.

From Raiders of the Lost Ark you get the cargo truck complete with Harrison Ford's stunt double Indy being dragged behind it (it's by a piece of white string not his whip). You've also got the Ark of the Covenant in the back of the truck but it's inside a crate which does not open, so as to protect your face from melting away. When you get this out of the packet you have to remove a little plastic protection thing to see it (which is another reason to take it out of the packaging) or you can just lift off the canopy. You can also position the canopy in the way you drive a truck in real life, with the back closed. If you actually didn't want anyone to be able to jump in the back or see in the back that is, but this is a replica from the film so you'll probably keep it the open back way. What lets this vehicle down a bit is the very thin wheels which if you actually gave this to a kid to play with would get damaged pretty quickly. The front windshield is also blacked out for some reason which would make it difficult to see while driving. Hasbro has thought about this problem and their solution is to include no driver at all. So it kind of makes no sense then why Indy needs to be dragged along by a truck that is obviously going to crash or come to a stop anyway. Although I'm glad they included the Indy figure on a string rather than just the vehicle but they could have had a brown string.

All these vehicles come with a little brown stand that is supposed to represent a rocky dirt ground but actually looks like something you might step in if an irresponsible dog owner hasn't picked up after their dog. It's the exact same one for all of five of these vehicles.

There is no scale at all on the packaging but the actual size of the die-cast truck is roughly the same size as your everyday Matchbox/Johnny Lightning/Hot Wheels die-cast car which are 1/64. The figure is slightly smaller than you usual sized ones used in 1/64 vehicle sized dioramas.

The packaging although not the easiest to open can be opened with scissors in an Egyptian mummy coffin way to pretty much conserve the packaging for resale (all you'd have to do is put some tape down the side if you cut along the bottom, top and one side where the plastic meets the cardboard backing). It is worthwhile keeping the packaging as it does have some movie info on the back (see customer images) plus if you want to resell later you are likely to get slightly more.

Overall this truck and the other Indiana Jones vehicles are pretty cheap, you should be able to get them each for under $5 from somewhere, and are well worth owning. There was also a second release which included the motorbike with sidecar from Crusade and a few other vehicles. Check out my customer images to see the packaging and some of the stuff I've talked about in this review.
